01 / About Freedom Fit Fuel

A work in progress. Still showing up.

Craig spent 11 years, 10 months and 29 days in the United States Air Force. First in Munitions Systems—Ammo, to everyone in it—from 1999 to 2005. Then in satellite communications (SATCOM), through 2011. He made Staff Sergeant along the way.

Now he designs networks, where a shortcut tends to become somebody else’s Friday night problem. IT teaches you that the front end is what a company shows you. The back end is what it actually does.

He also does standup, which means a lot of time in rooms that can tell instantly when something isn’t real. It’s why this store takes the gear seriously and itself a lot less so.

Looking past the surface is the habit he’s bringing to Freedom Fit Fuel.

02 / The starting point

The business began with a bathroom scale. Subtle, it was not.

The unglamorous part counts, too.

At 5'10", Craig reached 243 pounds. He brought that down to around 203, one habit at a time.

The progress is real. So is the work still ahead. Some days his head hasn’t caught up with the mirror.

That experience gave this store its reason to exist: make room for people who are still figuring out their routine. You don’t need a dramatic comeback story to start paying attention to yourself.

It’s also for veterans who remember what a standard is supposed to look like, and want to deal with someone who does too.

The person behind the checklist.

U.S. Air Force veteran. Network designer. Standup comic. Still reading the fine print.

03 / Behind the spec sheet

Good on paper is only the beginning.

A sauna can photograph beautifully and still need an electrical upgrade. A grill can be exactly what you wanted and three inches too wide.

Look at dimensions, power or fuel requirements, installation, and delivery before deciding. Check what comes in the box—and what doesn’t.

And measure the doorway. It rarely expands out of respect for your enthusiasm.

Standards that don’t bend

Real numbers, in writing.

When we needed delivery times for our barrel saunas, we asked the manufacturer to put them in writing, then published them on the product pages—the slow part included.

No invented reviews.

Freedom Fit Fuel is new. When reviews show up here, they’ll come from people who actually bought something.

No borrowed health promises.

Plenty of wellness copy leans on words like detox and miracle. If the research on something is thin, we’ll say so.

Fixed, not explained away.

Spot a claim on this site that doesn’t hold up? Tell us, and it gets corrected.

For the record, Craig’s personal recovery setup is one ankle board and one black foam roller. So you won’t catch him claiming he’s personally tested every sauna and cold plunge here. He reads the spec sheet instead, the way he was trained to read a checklist.

04 / The whole name matters

Fitness. Recovery. And yes, Fuel.

Equipment for the work, the downtime, and whatever’s cooking.

Have something in mind?

Talk to an actual human. This one does standup.

Send the models you’re comparing, the measurements you’re working with, or the detail you can’t find. A real person answers, Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 Eastern. We’ll take the question seriously. The rest of the conversation is less predictable.
